Two gay rapist jailed

Manchester Debenhams boy's rapists jailed

Two men have been jailed for raping a 14-year-old boy in the toilets of a central Manchester department store.
Abdelkader El-Janabi, 55, and Alex Wilson-Fletcher, 42, attacked the boy last June after approaching him in the Arndale Centre on a busy Saturday.

The men marched him to Debenhams, where the "sustained attack" took place. They were each jailed for 15 years.

Well it looks like coronation street is one nonce less as he was found not guilty of rape of a minor.

Interesting comment from the judge, who appears to think he DID do it, just not when the lad said he did it......  from the Beeb site:

Judge Clement Goldstone QC said: "The defendant was acquitted on the evidence, and rightly so, but it is important that the complainant, who is clearly scarred by an experience, should understand that the jury verdict does not necessarily involve rejection of his account of a sexual encounter or encounters with the defendant.

"It is a statement that the prosecution have failed to make the jury sure that abuse of the type alleged occurred during the period covered by the indictment and in particular before the complainant's 16th birthday, now more than 18 years ago."
It's nice to be important, but it's also important to be nice.

Same old story - "not guilty" isn't always the same thing as "innocent".  The law is right to demand proof beyond reasonable doubt, but when you're dealing with cases from decades ago, that's a pretty high benchmark.  I don't believe people should ever get away with such offences, but it can't help a victim to drag it all up again and then not win.  Must be like being assaulted all over again.

It's nice to be important, but it's also important to be nice.

I think his air of respectability and age sways opinion, I wonder if a scallywag from Broughton would get the same consideration? Personally I think not, I always enjoy your well informed point of view Cupcake.

Rochdale council is now on the nonce watch list .

Let's not forget filthy Cyril that overweight mountain of deviance.
The super nonce was so depraved yet no matter how many children had the children to tell the authorities what this pile of vile had done they were abused even more by the people who were supposed to protect them.

Have you ever felt like seeking punishment outside of the law? Like the star chamber a film from a good few moons ago.

You do impress me John, every time I read one of your posts I laugh out loud - it's similar to the 'feelgood factor'

Now as moorsy would say, 'don't let that go blowing your head up'
