The awesome spectacle of Stock Car and Banger Racing opens for it’s ninth season at Belle Vue Greyhound Stadium, Kirkmanshulme Lane, Gorton on Easter Monday 9 th April at 6.pm. The start of another big season in Manchester.
The Easter event has attracted drivers from all parts of the country including several Scottish drivers the two most prominent being reigning World Champion Gordon Moodie from Fife and Edinburgh’s Chris Burgoyne.
Traditionally the biggest crowd of the season, Easter Monday’s thriller sees the return of the hugely popular BriSCA F1 Stock Cars. Big Cars, small tracks, awesome entertainment! As part of an action packed monster motorsport programme the smaller, more lightweight BriSCA Formula Two Stock cars share the bill - and if that wasn’t enough there are three races for the metal bending mayhem of Banger Racing, the ultimate objective - to be the last car running - survival!
The whole event finishes with a Monster Demolition Derby.
One of the most popular venues in the country, BELLE VUE has attracted 130 competitors for the season opener. The premier F1 Stock Cars have attracted a top line entry with local interest with Dentons’ Steve Jacklin and promising newcomer Scott David’s from Swinton. Preston’s demure teenage sensation Hayley Parkinson who made a big impression last year returns for another seasons racing.
The event starts at 6.pm, finishes around 9.30.pm
