Yesterday was fabulous - no matter which side you support.  I slipped round to my Dad's cos he has Sky and saw the Aussie last man score a tantalising 98.... Hope Broad is back for the next innings!
It's nice to be important, but it's also important to be nice.

I was pleasantly surprised.  He came out and played sensibly as the team needed, rather than his usual do-or-die personal showing.  He was a bit unlucky to knock it onto the stumps.

Apparently, the day's a sell-out.  Unusual for the final day of a test.  137 runs required and down to the tailenders.   It should indeed be an early English win, but the Aussies never lie down, do they?

Phew....... fabulous for the spectators, but a bit closer than you'd like if you were Cook today!   They all go again on Thursday, and please God they don't let Finn bowl any more.... :o

What an afternoon to be an English cricket fan!  Splendid stuff.  O0  I'm sure the Aussies will come out fighting, but unless the weather intervenes, I can't see them making anything like enough in the fourth innings.

I do find myself a bit cross that I can't watch the national side on the national telly channel for free.  I have to go to my Dad's to see it live.   This should be on the Beeb....

Enjoyed the first Test so much I was in danger of becoming jingoistic - we should be able to win this one too - O0

There's a new stand at Old Trafford so the crowds are still going 8)

The Aussies won't give in.  If they can bat it out for a draw, they will.  Over to the English bowlers, and I think they are up to the job.  I  might have been tempted to declare at around 450 ahead though and really go for the win......  The Aussies must be praying for rain now, cos that wicket must be crumbling to bits.

Was looking at the commentators and noticed they seem to have a roster of them, I prefer Botham and Gower of our lot to commentate on the Ashes and any ex Aussie cricketers to give their accounts.

Geoff Boycott's good and I used to like Richie Benaud - is he still around?

I don't dislike any of them, but I do have a soft spot for Bumble.  He can be absolutely hilarious at times.  They all seem to get on well though, which is a blessing, especially when the runs are being ground out slowly....  Lovely to see Joe Root do so well.   Pietersen yet to shake his demons, though to be fair, he took two fabulous catches last innings.
