CCTV: Man wanted in connection with incident at HomeSense A man who was caught trying to take pictures up a woman's skirt in a city centre shop is being hunted by police.
The woman, 31, was shopping at Homesense in Manchester Arndale Centre at about 1.45pm on July 20 when she saw the man trying to take a photograph.
She snatched the camera from his hands, but he ran off and escaped.
Detectives have issued CCTV footage of a man they want to question.
Det Con Dave Gager said: "This woman was absolutely shocked and appalled to be confronted by a man attempting to take an indecent image of her while she was out shopping.
"It is not the sort of thing anyone would expect to happen while simply out shopping and understandably she is both angry and upset this man would try and commit such a brazen and callous act.
"We have captured the man's image on CCTV and we have released this picture in the hope that anyone who recognises him will come forward.
"For the victim's peace of mind, we need to find this man so if you do recognise him, or perhaps witnessed what happened and have information, we really need to speak to you." The man was black, about 6ft 2in, stocky and had shaved hair.
He was wearing sunglasses on top of his head, a blue shirt, black trousers and brown shoes. It is also believed he was carrying a WH Smith carrier bag. Anyone with information can police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111
