No, it was some nobody in Golden Square, Warrington.  Drunk after a night out, caught short, had a wee in a dark corner and didn't realise (he said) that it was a memorial.

Was it Bryan Ferry's son Otis who did something like that and received a short prison sentence? :-\

 Charlie Gilmour was the P***k who climbed up the Cenotaph, hauling himself up by pulling on the flags on the memorial. This took place during the Student fee's protests. Although Charlie  has probably never paid for anything in his life. Relying on daddies fortune to ease his way through life.  >:(

He got 16 months and appealed, saying that he didn't know what the Cenotaph was, cos his generation weren't taught about it......  one wonders what he intended to study at University then....  ???
