Why not Vettel, Kez?  If it hadn't been him it could have been Alonso or Raikenen - Massa wasn't really in contention was he?

I can never decide whether they all deserve a medal or all need psychiatric assistance.  Absolute madness, what they do.  One tiny mistake and that's the end of that......

Years ago it was proven in various surveys that a lot of racing car spectators watched in the anticipation that that there was going to be a spectacular crash. Back then that almost invariably involved a fatality. There was hardly a season passed without another driver being killed or badly injured in those days. Thanks to a number of prominent drivers becoming more safety conscious after a few headline grabbing fatalities, insisting on major improvements, the race car manufactures and track designers got their acts together and things started to improve with not only the car, but the drivers safety in mind.

Nowadays we are used to seeing crashes where the driver walks away, that a few years ago would have seen the driver almost certainly badly injured or worse.

The strange thing is that one can witness a driver crash his car in practice at over 100 miles per hour, jog back to the pits and drive in the race and sometimes win the next day. Yet you accidentally bump into a car on the road at 3 miles per hour and the other driver has whip lash and all kinds of injuries.  >:( ::)  Who remembers the fairground Dodgem rides, where we would happily smash into each others cars as part of the fun.    Where were the, "You may have been injured in an accident that wasn't your fault" Ambulance chasers when you needed one back then?  ::)

I love the Dodgem cars my favourite fairground treat of all time, sometimes my fun would be in just avoiding the other cars, other times I would sneak up and smash them :smitten: :smitten:

Ferrari were always the team who set the benchmark for excellence for many years. They were always the team you had to beat, particularly when Michael S was driving. Alonso is one of the best drivers in the world and if the Ferrari car had been as good as it was in previous years, although I am a big fan of Vettel , I believe he would have been the champion.  O0

It's a wonder they aren't dizzy as well

I used to enjoy it more when Senna, Prost, Mansell and Piquet were racing, found the Schumacher era boring as there wasn't any real rivalry but with Vettel, Alonso and Raikenen all brilliant drivers next year may be more exciting.

Ferrari is not so good ad previous years.. many mistakes that usually they didnt do. But i am sure that they will win again..
Vettel is very very very good driver on a very good car. "give to Caesar what is Caesar" :))))

For me in F1, now, there are 3 top driver: Vettel, Alonso and Hamilton. Some very good driver as Webber and Raikkonen and some new driver that can be top as Grosjean.

I went off Hamilton a couple of years ago when he attempted to play the race card.  >:(  He is a good driver but I think Button, all things considered is better.

I went off Hamilton too, thought he'd got a bit cocky and then he moved to Monte Carlo on the pretext that he would be mobbed over here - as if!

Not keen on Button either after he said something a bit vulgar in an interview on TV - relating to when he would be apart from his then girlfriend who was in a reality show

I think they are both conceited, having said that they are skillful drivers
