is everything ready over there as I heard there were delay?

I heard delay.. and brazilian people against this world cup in Brazil.

The first our match will be Italy England  :-[

People in Brazil are angry about the money being spent on the World Cup when they are struggling.  They don't believe the promised profits will appear and definitely don't believe they will trickle down to benefit ordinary people.  Ironically, all the protesting about that is likely to put people off going and reduce income.... :-\ 
 
Football is massive in South America, so I doubt they will have any trouble filling the grounds for matches, but whether tourists from further afield will fill the Hotels and boost other local businesses remains to be seen.

I prefer to watch it on TV, which is one reason I went for a large flatscreen one,  I've always wanted to go to Rio de Janeiro but not when it is crowded

I prefer england and italy in two different group! now i cant support england!

Btw Italy it is not so strong! has problem in defense (Bonucci not so good with feet and Chiellini not so strong).. and forward depends on mood of Balotelli. Pirlo is always great midfielder but it is not so young and he cant run so much! a bit of pressing on him and on defense from rooney and England will win!

Dreadful news about the monorail collapsing today.  One poor man killed and a couple of others injured.  I suppose the only saving grace is it happened before it was packed full of football fans...... could have been a massive death toll.  Not that that will be much comfort to the bereaved family today.  :-\

Brazil - Croatia (according to me it will finish 2-2)

I have 30years old... i have seen my first world cup at 6years old: 1990 in italy .. germany the winner.
but i have never seen all this attachment  of media. with internet and social network are transforming this sport event in just an event for make money.
I was exctited about world cup.. it remember me very good moments with parents and friends.. but NOWI'm having a rejection of world cup. I hope will finish soon... I am already tired

All the garbage over Russia and Qatar buying the vote has definitely spoiled the feel of things.  The World Cup definitely no longer has the friendly, fun atmosphere it used to have.   :-\   Hopefully when Brazil run out on the pitch, they'll be on form and the magic will return.  If they are anywhere near their best, Croatia won't hold them.  ;)
