Opinions wanted!

I'm doing some research into Manchester's best venues. I love the city, but have a LOT of my own contenders in mind, so it'd be helpful to see some other perceptions.

I'd therefore be interested to know what your favourites are in the following categories - and why...?

= Bars (+ pubs)
= Restaurants
= Clubs
= Activities

And anything else that simply shouldn't be missed...?

C :)

Britons protection is a good pub for real ales as is the Lass O Gowrie

Restuarants - Lime tree, Jem & I - not sure how they are classified but I think both are excellent!

my best bar in the city is All Bar One it never gets full of idiots and has a good wine list and beer on draft that seems to satify most people. even at 11pm its not overly packed i like the chop house but you have to stand

my best retaurants are (at the moment) the new tapas bar on deansgate El Vino (i think) and the newish thai up past the grinch above sams chop house both worth a visit the leg of lamb slow cooked in thai spices was divine !

don't do clubs sorry
